Teen Librarians - Check out Jim's Great YA Programs!
Perfect programs for teens in libraries, for weekly program meetings, lock-ins and sleepovers, reading rewards, or special occasions any time of the year. If you want a ready-made program designed especially for teens, this is your answer. Jim offers three hour-long professional programs.
In Tales From Beyond, Jim shares dark and spooky tales of mystery, murder and mayhem, all from books about true events such as the Lizzie Borden axe murder, death on the Titanic, and the mystery of shrunken heads.
In Ohio Spirits, Jim tells stories about famous haunted places in Ohio - THe Mansfield Reformatory, the Franklin Castle, The Golden Lamb and more. Particiapants handle vintage artifactsaand witness somme eerie events.
Due to the popularity of Tales From Beyond, Jim now also offers an all different second Dark program. More Tales From Beyond has new tales, new authors, new books, new strange and creepy occurrences about the Salem witch trials, Edison's Spirit Telegraph, and The Cleveland Torso Murders.

He has performed for libraries in every county and every major city in Ohio, often returning to the same libraries year after year as the highlight of the programming season. Most librarians book Jim for either the big Grand Opening or the spectacular closing event, since his shows are so popular.
Librarians trust Jim to always put on a great fun show that emphasizes books. He uses lots of audience participation, and has been widely acclaimed for his wonderful understanding of and interaction with children. Jim has spent many years as a Kindergarten teacher, became a Master Teacher and Education Instructor at Cleveland State University.has written several books for teachers on classroom and behavior management - all of which helps to make his programs a delight for all.
